Scrub rinse and blot an area before moving to the next. You can clean silk rugs using. Run a vacuum or a clean soft bristled brush over your area rug to loosen up the fibers of the rug as they may have compacted during the washing drying process. The method below is suitable for wool and polyester rugs. Let the rug dry completely before bringing it indoors. But every few months to a year they need to be deep cleaned.
