Whenever there is a small spill of any kind on your laminate flooring wipe it up immediately to prevent water damage from occurring over time.
You ll need to remove one plank at a time.
The entire plank must be removed even if only a portion of it appears damaged because each plank is a single unit.
If left unattended you will notice that some planks begin to get buckled or bent in awkward ways.
2 look for warped areas that are bending or cracking.

If a small amount of water has leaked toward the edges of the flooring pull up any quarter round shoe molding or baseboards around the perimeter.
Be sure that you use a 100 percent silicone caulking as it remains flexible and allow the laminate to expand and contract.
When the water reaches under laminate flooring the water must be removed immediately.
It does help to reduce water getting under it by sealing around the edges of laminate flooring when used in a wet areas.
If the water is not pervasive you may be able to extract it with a wet dry vacuum.
If the laminate doesn t match your floor may look rather odd.
To repair a water damaged laminate floor use a crowbar or other tool to pry up the damaged planks.
